TERRY TRUNDLE - PTA, ATC, LAT
- Mr. Trundle offers educational programs on functional rehabilitation that focuses on the upper and lower kinetic chain. He practices in the Atlanta area, where he is Owner and Director of the Athletic Rehab Institute and Sports Medicine. He is a graduate of the Medical College of Georgia and University of Tennessee at Chattanooga and has over 33 years of experience in clinical practice.
Mr. Trundle has been very active in the American Physical Therapy Association and the National Athletic Trainers Association. He recently was one of the first recipients of the Recognition of Advanced Proficiency Award for the Physical Therapist Assistant in Musculoskeletal Physical Therapy by the American Physical Therapy Association and was recognized by the Medical College of Georgia as one of its Fab 40 Alumnus, a distinction given for distinguished alumni who are leaders in health sciences education and who have made life better for the people of Georgia.
Mr. Trundle has also been recognized by the Cambridge Executives. In addition to his clinical work, he is a rehab consultant to Kennesaw State University and Southern Polytechnic State University and provides athletic training services for high schools in the North Metro Atlanta, Georgia area.
Due to his many years of treating orthopedic shoulder injuries in the clinic and on the sidelines, Mr. Trundle was asked to author "Chapter 21: Orthopedic Management of the Shoulder" in Fundamental Orthopedic Management for the Physical Therapist Assistant by Gary A. Shankman andÊRobert C. Manske, 2011.
His research has been featured in journal publications such as the Journal of Athletic Training, the Journal of Sports Rehabilitation and Medicine and Science in Sports and Exercise Journal, the official journal of the American College of Sports Medicine. The concepts presented by Mr. Trundle are beneficial in multiple settings as he emphasizes practical approaches to functional exercise.
